sintered porous titanium plate as membrane electrode for PEM fuel cell
Membrane electrode is the place of multiphase material transport and electrochemical reaction, which determines the performance, life, and cost of proton exchange membrane fuel cell.
High-performance film electrode should have:
1) minimize the gas transport resistance so that the reaction gas from the diffusion layer to the catalyst layer smooth electrochemical reaction;
2) Form a good ion channel to reduce ion transport resistance;
3) forming a good electronic channel;
4) The gas diffusion layer should ensure good mechanical strength and thermal conductivity;
5) Proton exchange membrane has high proton conductivity and good chemical stability, thermal stability, and hydrolysis resistance.
Features:
Uniform porosity will allow the gas to be evenly distributed
Good Corrosion resistant materials can support all operating temperature
Controllable porosity can provide the best balance of gas diffusion and water transport
Thickness can down to 0.5mm, Low thickness variation to ensure full contact with mating components for larger multi-cell stacks.
